Mélas Richard, 73, of Pré-d'en-Haut, passed away on Wednesday, March 8, 1995 at Dr. Georges L. Dumont Hospital after a lenghthy illness.

Born in Pré-d'en-Haut, he was the son of the late Mélas and Emilie (Gautreau) Richard. He attended Notre Dame de l'Annonciation Roman Catholic Church. He was a member of Club D'Age D'Or de Pré-d'en-Haut and Memramcook. He was a Veteran of World War II.

He is survived by his wife, Aline Auffrey Richard; three sisters, Mrs. Laurida Belliveau of St. Joseph, Mrs. Alyre Cormier (Alma) of Dorchester Cape, Mrs. Emilia Boudreau of Belliveau Village; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two sisters, Rosé and Eva; two brothers, Alphée and Johnny.

Resting at Dupuis Funeral Home Ltd., with the Funeral mass to be held at Notre Dame de l'Annonciation Roman Catholic Church, Pré-d'en-Haut on Friday, March 10, 1995 at 7 p.m. Interment in Parish Cemetery in Pré-d'en-Haut
